Due to a generous grant from the Harold Simmons Foundation, La Reunion TX has been able to partner with the Student Conservation Association!  There are 10 local students who applied to work in conservation with the Dallas field office at our site this summer.  It's our hope to profile all the workers during their time on our site.  Look for that in the coming weeks.

The SCA's main goal is conservation.  Our main goal is site cleanup!  Even though we have done several cleanup days over the last three years and picked up everything from a couch to a bullet riddled van to a kitchen sink (no kidding), there's still work to be done.  Pulling out stuff that just doesn't belong is the first step in conservation efforts.  Restoring the habitat is essential to our future plans to construct a low-impact structure for artists housing and studio space.  We thank you SCA and look forward to a prosperous collaborative effort!
